• Montana Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship Winner Lexie Wichman

Montana Cattlemen’s Association (MCA) was formed in the 1950s to represent Montana cattle producers on issues vital to the future of our industry. MCA is a producer-driven, grassroots, all volunteer organization committed to ensuring profitability for family ranchers as well as future generations.

MCA is proud to award Lexie Wichman from Moore, Montana, our 2026 scholarship. Lexie is attending Montana State University in Bozeman, majoring in Animal Science. Her long-term goals are to attend veterinary school and return to Central Montana to provide veterinary services to livestock producers and ranch families. Lexie is currently the Montana FFA State Secretary. She also owns and manages a herd of twenty head of registered Hereford cattle. While in high school, Lexie completed dual enrollment course work through the Great Falls College MSU and earned an Associate of Applied Science degree before graduating from high school.

In her scholarship application Lexie stated, “The Montana cattle industry represents more than an occupation to me. It represents a way of life.” Supporting Lexie and young cattle producers like her is a primary goal of our Montana Cattlemen’s Association.
